David HOlgado MRICS

David is the Director of HDH Property Consultants and a Chartered Building Surveyor. He has been working in the construction industry since 2009, working in several different sectors, including residential and commercial. David has a HNC in Construction from London South Bank University and a degree in Building Surveying from the University of Westminster.

Formerly a Partner at Pellings LLP, he led the professional services workstream and developed a large team of surveyors providing services to multiple clients.

He has worked for a leading G15 housing association, leading their disrepair and complex projects team, and has extensive first-hand experience in handling housing disrepair matters. David also managed several planned asset reinvestment programmes.

David specialises in diagnosing damp and mould issues using the appropriate tools and equipment. He is very confident in assessing complex scenarios and enjoys providing solutions to problem issues.

David has undertaken nearly 1,000 expert witness instructions and is well-versed in the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Homes (Fitness for Habitation) Act 2018.

David is an APC Assessor and has led in-house candidate sessions, helping the next generation of surveyors become chartered.
